I am loving this color for the fall - for clothing, bags, shoes, nail polish... it's such a bold green but it's very soft and understated. I particularly want a silk blouse in this shade - just like the one in the Fendi collection.

A Taste of Fall
This gorgeous collection from former Paul & Joe designer Diane Goldstein Sitbon, has caught my eye. I know it's not Fall yet in realtime, but in fashion-time it's all about the fall. This Parisian based line, April, May, is feminine but classic and modern, with beautiful tailoring and bohemian cuts. I love the mix of smart and casual, nudes and greys. The hair is lovely too.
Fave Emma Stone look so far...
I've not been a huge fan of Emma Stone's style choices (or hair color adventures) thus far, but this look i LOVE! I admire the bold mix of red and pink (Giambattista Valli), the elegance of the closely-fitted top and the huge bow that accentuates her tiny waist. The hair color is more natural than the peroxide blonde she's been sporting lately and adds another great clash to the color medley. The nude shoes are also a perfect choice. Beautiful.

summer feeling
I found these cool pics on the (awesome) marketHQ blog today - something about them captures summer for me. I especially love the one with all the pillows - it reminds me of England, the smell of freshly washed cotton and waking up to the sun. Beautiful.

Fashion Scout - Patong Beach
Since i've been at Patong Beach, Phuket, i have been keeping my eyes peeled for some post-worthy looks. This evening i stopped to take a quick pic of these two lovelies, both sporting effortless and unique summer style. Both from Sydney, Ashley and Alison are two gorgeous girls enjoying a holiday in the sunshine. Hopefully this will be the first of many more inspiring and individual street-style posts...
Ashley - stripy shirt from Levi's, white top from Thailand, sunnies by Prada and bag from Sports Girl
Alison - skirt from Sports Girl and top from a 'random asian store'

SHADES of pastel
I'm loving the mix of white-framed shades and bright colours in the NASTYGAL collections... certainly inspiring me for the summer! And these wedges are gorgeous! I'm on the lookout for some of my own, but I can't decide between black or colour... and i haven't got a lot of money to spend so we'll see how i get on!

BEACH BABE: Two Fab Looks
Look 1: Bright White
With a much-awaited (and much-needed) few days on the beach rapidly approaching, i am skimming the magazines and surfing the net for some sand-proof and tan-maximizing wardrobe ideas. So far i've found so many great looks that i'm a little overwhelmed by the options and more than a little underwhelmed by the choice of clothes i have from which to create them. But... i have scooped my research together into two main looks that i will be attempting to re-create (in my own way.... of course) and hopefully, with a little help from a good hair taming product (any suggestions?), i might just knock my husband sideways with the achieved effect.
The first look: Bright White - whites in crochet and lace, white 60s-inspired dresses, cropped tops and shorts, sun hats, large sunnies, minimal jewelry, tousled hair with a few plaits and lean, tanned legs (working on it...)
The second look: A Splash of Colour - one bold, block colour mixed with neutrals and nudes, bright lippy with florals or patterns, hair scraped into that impossible-to-get-perfect bun/birds-nest on top of the head (i'll keep trying), wedges and wooden heels and a touch of effortless boho.
It's going to be great.
It's going to be great.

Hair Envy
So i've had enough of the frizz, the heat damage and the worrying speed at which my hair seems to be falling out. My hair was once a bouncing vision of healthiness, but not anymore. I'm beginning to see the long term effects of using straightening irons for the past 11 years and not looking after my hair properly, and it's time for a hair make-over! Presently i'm galavanting around Thailand for work and so it isn't highly practical to start a new regime when the air is full of unforgiving humidity, and the only way i can wear my hair without looking like a yeti is to scrape it into a bun, but i can certainly make a plan and maximize on the lack of straightening i'll be doing here.
Here are some pics (the gorgeous Rosie in this month's ELLE and some Valerie Van Der Graaf) to inspire me and to get me motivated - when i get back to the US i will look into protein and thickening treatments, shine products, have a new cut and perhaps some new colour and we'll see how i get on. I may even try some diet changes... i will post my progress and the products i test and all you faithful followers can hopefully learn with me as i search for the best methods to give my hair a much needed boost of life.
